And now for something completely different...

1. CONCERT - DECEMBER 7 at 7:00 PM at ALL ASIA 334 MASS AVE in CENTRAL SQUARE in CAMBRIDGE. We're playing for CNC Music Productions with some other bands. CNC always puts together great shows, so you should come on down to listen and watch. All Asia is all ages before 9:00 PM so come see us; you have no excuse.

2. RECORDING PROJECTS - Jim and I will be recording a song each for a course we're both taking at Boston College with Lloyd Thayer . A new song each. We'll post them somewhere when they're presentable. I'm also mentoring an awesome and talented musician Bryan Fielding for his senior exit project. I'll be helping him to record an album of original music (which I'm willing to bet will be awesome). Also, I'll be recording Juliana Forsberg-Lary over her winter break.

3. BAND NEWS - Lee Meryash just brought his drum kit over to 146 Chiswick (where the magic happens) last night. So we'll be doing stuff with a bit more percussion for a while anyway.

4. SIDE PROJECTS - My sister Victoria and I are going to be working on a set of unexpected covers to record some time early next year. Another side project, of which I will be in the background, is Ezra Kachi (potential name) which will be a little different than Isthmus and the Lisps and will be comprised of Erika Young and I.

5. FILM SOUNDTRACK - Alex Butzbach's student film starring Ross Fielding will feature music by Isthmus and the Lisps (Jim and I). And should be interesting. We'll post that once it's done.

I don't know what you heard about me...

Check out Lloyd Thayer at Club Passim, which is located here, in Harvard Square this coming Saturday Nov. 24th at 8 PM. In the round with Rob Laurens, Joel Ninesling, and Dave Dersham.

Some lisps and friends will be there, so come hang out and listen. If lloyd's live music is even half as great as his records or the Fundamentals of Audio Recording course he teaches at Boston College, it will be an awesome evening.

RECAP: Sunday's Show...

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us play this past Sunday (Maria, Sharon, Ross, Alex, Dan, and my Dad). A six-member fan club is still a fan-club, so you guys should really get on the ball with that. I nominate Alex for the part of "Penny Lane." Ross, you should be that creepy guy who saves every single thing that has any significance at all (i.e. shot glasses, napkins, guitar picks, etc). I think Maria and Sharon can be those writers who follow us around and know more about the band than we do... They can correct us when we get into arguments and whatnot:

Jim: "Chris, dude... didn't you used to play that other solo in that song."
Chris: "What? Here?"
(example)
Jim: "No, like you used to go up on that note instead of down a fifth."
Chris: "Oh you mean like this?"
Zach (coming out of his heroin induced coma to weigh in): "I'm like a fish!"
Jim: "No, More Li--"
Zach: "I'm a fucking fish! I said... the other... Fuck, man. What day is it?"
Jim: "Tuesday."
Chris: "Wednesday."
Maria and Sharon (in unison): "It's Monday."
Audience: "Aaaaaaaaawwwww."

Vision Through Sound, from Long Island was a lively and entertaining warm-up for the always-wonderful music of Jessica Sola, who closed the show.

For those of you who didn't make it, here was our set list (give or take... not in order):

Time
Drank a 40
To Me More
Blind
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles cover)
Psycho Killer (Talking Heads cover)
The Way You Cry
How It Has To Be
Getting Married
Don't Leave Me
Mama Was

Our next show is Friday December 7, so mark your Calendars, and wash your underwears.

November 11 2007 - 3:00 PM at All Asia

We've got a show this Sunday, November 11 at All Asia Bar 334 Mass Ave. Near Central Square in Cambridge MA. The show is all ages, so bring your children and their schoolmates ( I smell a cultural-experience field trip in the making). We're playing with a couple of other bands, so stick around for the whole show, as it should be entertaining.

The cover (if there is one) will be affordable.

T-pooling will be in effect, so drop an e-mail if you're afraid of riding public transportation alone.
